Our Beginning
Yimma's Pita Chips: Introducing the world to Gida and Mama, the pillars of our family.
Gida, Arabic for Grandma, raised her 8 children and 28 grandchildren with boundless love after becoming a widow at 38. Mama, embodying the essence of her mother, alongside our dad, instilled in us the courage to chase our dreams and the belief that anything is possible.
Originally from Salt, Jordan, our family immigrated to St. Louis, MO in 1980 bringing with them the love of feeding others.
Cooking was Gida’s love language and it remains embedded in our culture as a way of connecting to others.
In honor of this cherished tradition, we extend to you an invitation to experience the hospitality and warmth of our upbringing through a taste of Gida's Pita Chips.
